1. Who We Are

Socialhubbs is operated by Socialhubbs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. When we say "we", "us" or "our", we mean Socialhubbs Ltd. When we say "you" or "your", we mean you — the person creating an account and using the platform.

2. Accepting These Terms

By creating an account or using Socialhubbs in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice in the app. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Socialhubbs. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or over and are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.

We may ask you to verify your age at any point. If we discover that an account belongs to a person under 18, we will suspend and delete it immediately.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for:

• keeping your password secure and confidential
• all activity that takes place under your account
• notifying us immediately at legal@socialhubbs.com if you suspect unauthorised access

You may hold only one account. Creating multiple accounts — for example to accumulate XP or avoid a suspension — is a breach of these Terms.

The information you provide at registration must be accurate. A false date of birth or impersonating another person will result in immediate termination.

5. How You May Use the Platform

Socialhubbs is a place for genuine social discovery. You may:

• create an honest profile and interact with other users in good faith
• participate in trivia face-offs, daily challenges and icebreaker challenges
• set your intent (dating, friendship, networking) and update it as your needs change
• earn XP and progress through levels by engaging with platform features
• report content or behaviour that you believe violates these Terms

6. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

• use the platform if you are under 18 or if your account has been terminated for a prior violation
• impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation
• post, share or send content that is abusive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, discriminatory, or sexually explicit
• post any content that sexually depicts or exploits minors in any way — this will result in immediate termination and referral to law enforcement
• use the platform to solicit money, sell goods or services, or engage in any commercial activity without our written consent
• send unsolicited bulk messages or spam other users
• use automated scripts, bots, scrapers or crawlers to access or interact with the platform
• attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile or exploit any part of the platform's code or infrastructure
• interfere with the platform's operation or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or data
• circumvent or manipulate the XP, level or badge system

Violations may result in content removal, suspension, or permanent termination of your account, at our sole discretion.

7. Your Content

You own the content you post on Socialhubbs. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the platform. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account (subject to our data retention period).

You confirm that you have the right to post any content you share, and that it does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.

We may remove any content that violates these Terms, without notice.

8. The Gamification System

XP points, levels, badges and other in-game elements are features designed to make the experience more engaging. They have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, goods or services.

We reserve the right to adjust, reset, rebalance or remove any game element at any time — including during platform updates, to address abuse, or to improve the overall experience. We will not compensate you for changes to the gamification system.

9. Paid Subscriptions (Plus and Elite)

Paid tiers are described on our pricing page. When paid subscriptions are available:

• Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before renewal
• You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• Under UK consumer law, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from purchase. If you have already consumed a material portion of the subscription within that period, we may apply a pro-rated deduction before issuing a refund
• We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice; you may cancel without penalty if you do not accept a price change

Paid features are not yet live. This section will be updated when they launch.

10. Our Intellectual Property

All content we produce — including the Socialhubbs name and logo, the design, copy, code, game mechanics, and platform architecture — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property law. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform for its intended purpose. Nothing in these Terms transfers any IP rights to you.

11. Disclaimers

Socialhubbs is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free or free from harmful components. We make no guarantee that you will form any particular connection, match or friendship through the platform.

We are not responsible for the behaviour of other users. The platform facilitates introductions — how those introductions develop is entirely between the users involved. Always exercise your own judgement when meeting someone you have connected with online.

Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only; we do not endorse and are not responsible for their content.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Socialhubbs Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) £100.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by applicable law.

13. Termination

You may close your account at any time by using the account deletion option in your settings or by emailing legal@socialhubbs.com.

We may suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, if required by law, or if continued operation of your account poses a risk to other users or to the platform.

On termination, your licence to use the platform ends immediately. Sections 7, 10, 11, 12 and 14 survive termination.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Before initiating formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at legal@socialhubbs.com — most issues can be resolved quickly and informally.

If you are a consumer, nothing in this clause affects your right to bring proceedings in the courts of the UK country where you live.
